What is the Veteran community?
Welcome! The Minnesota veteran community is supported by a circle of veterans, active and national guard members, advocates, organizations, and family. We are honored to hear and share their stories.
Only sin in the military is being lazy. You don’t have to like each other, just work together.”

The Veterans Play Project
Performed at Base Camp at Fort Snelling, November 15-24, 2013
Inspired by stories gathered from over a hundred Minnesota military veterans, this original play tells the story of veterans and civilians living in the fictional small Midwest town of Smedley. The stories of new recruits, veterans, and advocates from all conflicts and on all sides weave together as the residents of Smedley face the dilemma of how to honor the memory of those who have served in their community. Performed by a talented cast of 22 actors and musicians, including 15 military veterans.
Created by Footprints Collective (now Wonderlust Productions) and presented by Mixed Blood Theatre in partnership with Minnesota Humanities Center and Bedlam Theatre.
