At Wonderlust, it is part of our mission to listen. We’ve facilitated story circles with thousands of people where people often share (and rediscover) some of the most transformative moments of their lives. To participate feels almost like entering a sacred space. We find that when we really listen, people often surprise us and themselves with a complex and compelling life story. After hearing so many of them, we’ve come to believe that at their core, People are Beautiful.
We made this podcast to celebrate the beauty of people we’ve met along the way and to share that sacred space of story-sharing we encounter in our circles.
Episode 1: Sheree Froelich – Sheree is a local actor who originally moved to Minnesota seeking promised social supports. While she was let down by these promises from the state, she did find a community that truly supports its neighbors. In this episode, she explores the life events that shaped her values and beliefs, and how she lives these through mutual aid today.
