Wonderlust Productions received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to measure the long-term impact of the arts through a process called Ripple Effects Mapping.
What is Ripple Effect Mapping?
Ripple Effects Mapping (REM) is a participatory group evaluation process developed at the University of Minnesota. REM employs a “mind mapping” method to help us reflect and visually map the intended and unintended effects produced by our past projects. You can read more about the process in this short article on University of Minnesota Extension’s website. From this, we will gain a greater understanding of the impact of this type of story-gathering and story-telling on both an individual level as well as on the greater community. The result is a powerful technique to document impacts and help us learn.
