The Setting:
The Bulldog Lowertown, where this play starts, is a cheerful iconic bar filled with people socializing, eating burgers and hot dogs, amd watching sports on the dozens of TVs around the big friendly space. Outside, a block and a half away is one of the many picturesque cobblestone alleys that make downtown St. Paul filled with visual surprises. On the side of a wall in that alley, about 15 feet high, is a painting of an owl, with piercing yellow eyes and blue plumage, with a full moon above bathing the owl in a yellow silhouette frame. All around you if you stand there are apartment buildings and lofts and businesses filled with people who call downtown home.

Synopsis:
One of the large murals in downtown gives an overwhelmed young man a glimpse into a better possible future.
