The Setting:
We are standing in Rice Park. Part 1 takes place on the East side of the fountain. Long before Rice Park was here, various businesses were here, including a barber shop run by Moses Dickson, a Black abolitionist. This play takes place in parallel worlds, and the years are 1857 and 2020 simultaneously, in a dream space occupied by Pat, a modern day activist.
Synopsis:
During the crazy summer of 2020, a herald sends a woman named Pat Dawson on a journey to understand “Who is Moses Dickson?”
